Our university coordinates a consortium comprising seven universities and research institutes from Romania, which bring together their expertise and research infrastructure to study terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems and the relationship between humans and nature.
RECOVER – the Romanian Centre of Excellence in Biodiversity, Ecosystem Services and Society, coordinated by Associate Professor Dr Tibor HARTEL – aims to contribute to a better understanding of how climate change and human activities influence biodiversity and ecosystems. The research findings will help develop solutions for the long-term protection and restoration of ecosystems and the benefits they provide to society.
